As a family owned, independent travel agency based near Lincoln, Navenby Travel specialises in providing good value, quality holiday packages alongside excellent customer service. We work with all major tour operators and can tailor holiday packages to suit our clients needs including hotels, flights, cruises, tours, attraction tickets and more.

Founded in 2010, Navenby Travel was originally based in the Lincolnshire village of Navenby before opening in a larger premises in the centre of Waddington, South of Lincoln in 2015. Navenby Travel is a member of the Midcounties Co-operative Travel Consortium.

Job description and main responsibilities

As a travel consultant you'll have good questioning and listening skills to help our customers plan, select and book their holidays in confidence.
Work as part of a small team to help drive sales and maintain relationships with customers. Our customers are at the forefront of everything we do, so excellent customer service is key.
Assist with the day-to-day operation of the shop, including but not limited to: general administration, handle incoming and outgoing post, replace brochures and update window display offers.
Organise and manage own diary appointments, prioritising time sensitive bookings and urgent queries.
Strong attention to detail to process customer documentation to a high standard.
You’ll be required to use organisational skills to keep on top of filing systems and update file copy brochures.
Develop product knowledge on destinations and tour operator services available.
Help maintain shop supplies and assist with ordering new stationery stock.

Essential criteria

Educated to GCSE Level (or equivalent), including Maths and English at C or above / or equivalent demonstrable experience
Competent IT skills
Phone and email communication skills
Good geographical knowledge

Desirable criteria

Work experience in the travel industry, sales or customer service
Interest in travel and tourism
Customer relations experience
Knowledge of tour operators and travel systems
Building and maintaining relationships with customers
Experience of handling confidential information
